from 2010 to 2011
having taken the centre exit
i took a journey into night
leaving a ruined castle
i jumped through the stars
landed by a moonlight lake – took a breath
and again launched inwards
navigating with music
across star-maps
into space between sounds
i broke through the mist
and arrived!
the blue snow path leads to a ruined castle…..
hilary jeffery will be spending most of july in the setting of an old haunted hotel situated next to a ruined castle in the misty and wooded heights of schrattenberg in austria
during this stay a new piece will be written entitled
“The Ruined Castle”
a live performance of this new piece will take place on Saturday 24 July

the lone walker on the foggy seashore finds that he is not alone
as she explores – other figures are perceived passing through the mist
some move silently and carefully
others are curious and call out into the echoing spaces
some stay still and quietly witness the scene
while others try hard to see through the clouds
where are we – what space is this?
is this somewhere I have been before some times?
slowly moving shadows of other travellers
pass through the misty soundscape
and appear in the peripheries
some do fast moves to try to break the spell
others carry lanterns and sing sad slow hymns
all are not really sure where they are, what they are or who the others are
as the band plays “see om mist” they find themselves slowly walking down
a blue snow path

take the centre exit
of the fading blue temple building
which is a third space in-between
not one thing or another
sliding through a silent corridoor
into a space beyond the silence
the exit is the entrance
offering a way through the blue smoke
to a misty seashore where a voice shouts
hey!
